I had Addiction Cars reprogramme the ECU for some extra kick.
They took the car from the standard 174BHP to 204BHP.
Initially, I was thinking of using a device from ChipPower whereby you connect a widget to the fuel temperature sensor but was advised against that as it can cause damage so went with proper ECU Remapping.
There is a noticeable difference in the acceleration in
Sport mode from standing but anyone thrashing a VW Golf against you could probably, still beat you.
Remember, this is a 2.5-tonne tank with a smallish 2.5-litre Turbo-Diesel engine.
However, saying that, there is some nice smooth bottom power when accelerating.
