For a while now, the boot on my Touareg 7L 2004, has been “droopy” meaning that when I open it up, it’s dropping slightly, so I keep banging my head. On a slope it’s worse, the boot drops down and closes.
So after some searching on the VW forums and watching some youtube videos I figured it was not expensive or time-consuming to swap out the old boot status for new ones.
I think OEM was probably out of the question as they cost several hundred euros so found a full set of aftermarkets on amazon for €86.89.
Initially, I was going to change them myself but I got one of my guys at IN DETAIL GARAGE to swap them out for me.
He had them all swapped out within an hour.
